Review:

The Spectrum equivalent of Sensible Soccer. Naturally, given the limitations of the Spectrum, this is a slow moving game with some rather primitive graphics but it was the best game of the type on offer when released. It also included some nice touches like the players emerging from the tunnel at the start of the game. A classic of the time but badly dated now. Out of the hordes of football games released, only one game ever really surpassed this and that was the sequel.
